Morning, always Brenton's favorite time of the day. Before his incident, he would be at the pool this early, escaping the abuse his father dished out. Now being around water made him nervous, and making him nervous seemed to trigger his abilities. He understood they were connected by emotions, they were controlled by them. But as to why they were that strong, he didn't know. He silently stared at the computer screen in front of him. He looked at the news article, that he did every day, every morning. His eyes began to tear up, as he would go over and over the headline. He was so sorry for the incident....

He wiped his eyes, as he heard his name called. "Mocha Latte with Mint and Vanilla shot for.....Brenton," the barista shouted out. Brenton thanked him and would smile. Leaving a twenty inside the tip jar for the man. He would move his body back to the table and close his laptop. Placing it carefully in his bag, he would sigh. His hands ran over his mother's wedding ring, he wore since his mother's untimely death. He would smile, as he ran his finger over the ring's gemstones, he would walk out of Grounds for Murder. He would look down, avoiding the stares of people, and rush towards his apartment, in Kalmack Tower. He would nod towards the doorman and walk towards the elevator. He felt his watch make a noise, that someone from the League contacted him.
