Rin had almost reached the large arch marking the guild property line when she heard someone call out to her from behind. "Hey newbie. Not in a social mood today?" Rin's steps faltered for a moment but she quickly caught herself and looked away from the blonde man. She could still hear her spirits in the back of her mind, whom had been yelling at her since she stormed out, but she blocked them out so she could focus more on her surroundings. Speeding up a bit she hoped the other wizard would get the hint and leave her be.
"I mean, I'm sure you're a bit nervous about the whole team thing. You aren't the only one. I'm a bit terrified of being in the same team as Melinda." Rin looked back at him, slightly exasperated. Obviously he had taken her silence as a cue to keep talking. Stopping Rin sighed and let the man finish his chit-chat. "I'm Bardulf, by the way. Friends and family call me Bard." As he stepped in front of her and held out his hand Rin let out another sigh before forcing a smile and grasping his hand in hers. "It's nice to meet you Bardulf. I'm Rin Hitomi." Rin made sure not to call the wizard by Bard, wanting to make sure he realized they were in no way friends. As she gave his hand a firm shake she suddenly paused and looked over her shoulder to see Keiji exiting the guild hall and look around before seeing Rin and Bardulf and starting towards them. Quickly letting go of the blonde's hand Rin stepped to the side. "Sorry but it seems I have to go. Have a nice day." Though her fake smile was still in place, her voice had a hollow quality to it that revealed the celestial wizards current mood.
Stepping away, Rin quickly walked past Bardulf and passed under the arch. Glancing back once more Rin quickly made the decision to not go straight home, instead heading towards the market district. While she had nothing against the S-Class Wizard, she knew it would be far easier for him to feel her repressed magic power and he also had a look that seemed to shout 'I really don't want to do this but I don't have a choice' so she assumed he had reluctantly agreed to the team in which case she had no interest talking with him.
