Amaris heard the magic mind messages and relaxed slightly, but not enough to let her guard down. Her energy was still low, despite her exposure to the moon's sweet light. He knew that she was here though, how? How did he manage to catch her signature? Was some of it leaking, was it that she wasn't concealing herself at all? Or could he just be that logical as to have figured out the general area?

She summoned what magic she could from her long-ago stored reserves that even that horrible prison couldn't break, and sent out her own message.

It didn't take long for her to shed the shadows and step out of the doorway and out of the alleyway, her steps as quiet and tentative as a cat's or a fox's. The female soon came to the main square, her eyes darting left and right, arms wrapped around herself.
