Liam felt a cold shiver run down his spine the moment he uttered those words and for the first time in the past couple days, he felt something other than a harsh nothingness that had been feeding his anger. He had to turn away as he said it, clenching his fist as if fighting an internal battle. He knew what that feeling was, even though he'd refuse to acknowledge it. It was doubt.

Could he really go through with this?

Suddenly, a whole wave of fear and angst about what he was about to do came crashing over him. He was losing the coldness in his stare, his breath quickened. It felt like the weight of his potential actions were pushing down on him at once, as if forcing him to go back to his home and live the rest of his days in mournful sorrow. It was unlike anything he'd felt before.

And then he felt a pat on top of his head. And when he looked up, completely compromised emotionally, Skyva was there with a similar expression. She was fighting back her own tears as she expressed her gratitude in a surprisingly gentle, "Thank you." It was his turn to watch as she pulled out two more Poison Extracts and continued her work while he began to relax once more. Her words were further encouraging.

"When everything is done and over...just know that I will be here for you, Liam. Always."

He nodded as he took a deep breath and closed his eyes, remembering why he was doing this. Remembering what had happened and who was responsible. When he opened them, the cold, focused stare had returned. "Thank you...I needed that."

As Skyva put on her gloves and began making her sinister brew, Liam instead hopped up besides her, putting on a pair of safety goggles as he replied, "I think I'll watch."
