There was a lot to do to get his business up and running smoothly, and while the majority had been easy enough to restart his old childhood business. Forming contacts so he was sufficiently busy, that was the more difficult part. Luckily, no one knew the Little Butcher had been a vampire child, and so him older was of no surprise to anyone.

Of course, there was a little matter of where he had been over the year, but he simply refused to answer questions on that. It hardly would do if they knew he had been working with the cops, a part of his parole agreement or not.

Still, anyone who had known him as a child would recognize him, though he kept his hair a mouse brown now, rather than the shock of white that it had been. Better to be 'Parson Lessard's distant cousin Brandon, the last Lessard' than to be a 'Parson Lessard.' Either way, he was the heir, but one involved people who had known Parson was vampire questioning things, and Brandon didn't have answers.

Besides, a clean slate was helpful, and most people assumed he earned money from a lucrative career as an artist, and have inherited the Lessard estate, so had no need for a 'real' career.
