One Month after completing the house and moving in, life was going great. James had taken up the life-style in stride, the word was hard, but it was honest and good. Miray helped him of course, and they each took turns cooking whatever they wanted; both of their skills in cooking growing exponentially. Currently, James sat on one of the many hanging swings on the porch of their Victorian-Style house, and was looking over the pasture and over the sun-set.

He had one leg resting at the ankle on the opposite knee, a mug of coffee in one hand, the other resting across the back of the swinging bench as he simply sat and enjoyed the view. He hadn't had a major emotional meltdown since moving out of the city, the work kept his body in shape, the simplicity kept his mind at ease. As such, he'd stopped relying so much on Miray as his Emotional Anchor, but he reveled in the fact that he got to wake up with her at his side. He smiled at that, and took a drink of his coffee, letting out a content sigh as he felt the warm drink pass down his throat into his belly.

Soon, they'd go and adopt some kids, which would be easier than hiring some extra farm-hands. Kids are less likely to swindle one out of their money, more inclined to care and be kind to the animals, more inclined to listen, and bring joy wherever they go when properly disciplined and raised. James hadn't had the opportunity to raise a child since his last family was killed all those years ago by that group of hunters. He looked down at his lap, where his daughter and son would sit while he read to them, and he sighed once more, taking another drink of his coffee to finish it off, and set the mug on the porch.

The only thing, he thought, that could make his current situation better would be Miray sitting at his side, enjoying the view with him. He smiled, and chuckled to himself, that would be wonderful....but he wasn't going to pressure her to come outside and join him. She knew where he was, he knew where she was, him with his sense of smell and hearing, her with her innate sense of just where he happened to be.

Snow came up onto the porch, returning from her daily exploration of the many acres of land they had. Patting the Wolf's head, James clicked his tongue and she laid at his feet obediently. Seems there is always room for improvement in any situation, as his just got a bit better with his four-legged companion joining him on the porch.
