The journey to Atlea had taken almost two weeks, although they had been travelling on a cruise ship that opted to take its time rather than go directly to the region. Still, the quartet had found it to be a nice change of pace from their usually rapid travels from place to place. It gave them a chance to relax and spend time with their pokémon.
Although half of the trip was spent rounding up Skyler's rowdy pair, Voltage and Bandit had seemed determined to cause as much chaos as possible. As the brunette had chased after his pokémon, the other three had silently prayed to Arceus that they wouldn't sink the ship in the process.
Still, they had made it to Atlea roughly on schedule and it hadn't taken long for Skyler to start plotting out their trip to Prunella City, Theodore hovering over his shoulder while the two girls gathered fresh supplies for the coming trip. They would need to restock once they actually reached Prunella City, but it would last the four until then.
Pogonia City was beautiful and bustling with the tourists who had gotten off the ship with them rather than wait until Cacalia City, from overhearing the conversations of a few people, they found that this was because of the rain in the next city along.
The architecture here was something that Alethea especially enjoyed looking at, although the other three found it interesting as well. Still, they decided between themselves that they could return for another look later. If the rest of the region turned out to be as lovely, then they would likely be spending longer here than they had in Johto and Sinnoh.
Their trek to the city that was home to the Pokémon Professor of the region went fairly smoothly, and soon enough the quartet were stood in front of the flower-covered archway that was the city's entrance. Alethea took a minute to smell the flowers growing nearby, sighing happily at their pleasant scent while Skyler checked his map for directions.
"So, Mr. Guide, where to?" Celeste spoke up, the shortest member of the quartet tapping her umbrella on the ground as she waited for the tallest to figure out just what their route was going to be. The blonde pouted as her brother silently patted her on the head before peering down at the map, the pale-haired teen's finger tracing a route along the map as a suggestion.
Skyler shook his head. "Nah, this way is quicker." He ran his finger along the map to to show Theodore, smiling brightly as the shorter male nodded in acceptance. "Right off we go! The quicker we drop off this stuff to the Professor, the quicker we can get to exploring, right?"
He received three nods in reply, Alethea the only one to respond verbally. "Right. I'm looking forward to seeing what this region has to offer."
The brunette flashed another grin as he tucked the map into his pocket for the time being in case he needed it again. Skyler adjusted the straps on his backpack before taking his first steps into Prunella City, Theodore hovering close to him with the two girls following on behind.
