Placing a smile on her gloss lined lips, Fauna sashayed over to a guard. There was an extra on this ship, Fauna had made certain of it. "Beautiful, isn't it?" She inquired, her voice low. She hugged her elbows beneath her chest, tucking in a strand of aqua colored hair behind her ear. "Y-yes," the soldier replied, seeming suddenly flustered. Fauna's smile grew warm,
the lock of hair almost immediately returned to its position in front of her face.
How annoying.
She twirled it around her finger coyly, acutely aware of the eyes now on her. "Can you help me with something? Something only a big, strong man can do. I need to go downstairs, to the luggage room and it's dark." Fauna stood upright, straightening her spine and pouting. "And I hate the dark." Leore, Fauna believed this soldier's name to be, at last recalling the final tidbit.
Leore nodded his head slowly, relinquishing his grip on his weapon. They navigated down the spiral staircase, through the sturdy doors where the luggage was kept. The room was, in fact, dark. "It should be right around here," Fauna noted, rifling around to recall where she believe she had left her bag. "Ah, I recognize this one!" Fauna stood on tip toe, "Would you mind getting that down for me?" Leore stepped into place, Fauna dropping something into his pocket quickly. "Thank you," without so much as touching the bag, Fauna waltzed right out, leaving Leore and the suitcase. Not two minutes later, the sounds of both the suitcase and the body dropping could be heard with an ever so slight thunk!.
So soft, it was easy to miss among the clamor of the air ship.
Fauna glanced out the window, waiting a beat or two. She prepared herself and opened the door, her previous smile pinched into a frown of distaste. "Do yourself a favor the time next, not that there will be. If you're going to betray someone, don't go bragging about it."
The blue haired assistant grabbed onto Leore's ankles and proceeded to drag his limp body towards the door. "Long. Live. The Queen." His body dropped like a stone. Fauna watched it from the window, turning away when she could no longer see the bright uniform against the sky. Fauna returned to the Queen's side as though nothing had happened, her expression pleasantly polite once more. She took up her quill and paper, ready to make memos of anything that should need to be written down. Levir was nowhere to be seen, not that it particularly perturbed her. The two worked together and even before she had been elevated to this position, Fauna had seen him lurking about the Queen's side like a faithful shadow upon her back. "It looks as though we're almost there." Fauna mentioned offhandedly, checking her pocket watch.
"Port insight, Docking!"
Fauna braced herself, eager to come down from the air and set foot on this unfamiliar land mass. Augustine sidled up beside her,
the blue haired man seeming smug for one reason or another. Refraining from rolling her eyes, Fauna followed behind the Queen Estelle, breath hitching in her throat upon the sight of the creatures before her. They wore white hoods to cover their ghastly features but it did little to help obscure the nauseating sight of the three eyes protruding from their faces. What were these beasts called again? No matter, Fauna didn't really care. It had historical significance certainly, but Fauna did not have the most conventional upbringing. Why, it was at the age of 11 that she had learned to read and write her own name. Books were something that Fauna was scarcely allowed to pick up between work breaks, however she had read up on the importance of this meeting, or at least the pieces she was permitted to know about.
Poor Augustine, Fauna would feel worse if he did not always wear that smarmy smile that suggested he knew something you didn't. She walked around the man crying in pain, attempting to appear unperturbed and largely succeeding. "My Queen, allow me to help you with your dress," Fauna knelt down to assist in lifting up Queen Estelle's dress so that it did not drag during the trek towards where the ever-important meeting would be taking place. When they at last reached the large hall, she released the dress and took her place to the right hand side of the Queen's sitting place.
