Alea chuckled her friend’s excitement, welcoming another hug from her before pulling back and watching her put on her new accessories. Alea was just going to drop the whole plantain thing, there was no changing Deanna’s mind about that; she’ll just have to watch over her food like a hawk and plan to eat those as soon as possible. She could eat a couple for breakfast; if she remembers to eat breakfast, or this conversation at all.
“You look amazing Dee,” She grinned bouncing on the balls of her feet now,” I thought they’d be great for your DJ gigs, though I doubt you can see through them so forget that idea.” She chuckled to herself as she helped her with tying the bracelet on. “We had a lot of supplies left over from the weddings and stuff so I made quite a few things for everyone. I’m glad you like it so much,” Alea smiled once more, reflecting Deanna’s own genuine smile. Her being happy made her twice as, as with any of her friends.
Speaking of them, her phone began to chime once more, breaking whatever heartfelt moment they were having and stealing away Alea’s attention. She picked it up to see Kori was on her way back, Khari replied, and Brooks was on campus. “Kori’s coming back and Khari wants all of us over, the idiot,” she chuckled shaking her head as she relayed the replies the two of them got in their shared group messages before replying to Brooks as well.
I’m sure you can. ;)
TO: Sister Mother/ Kori
Something greasy and American. I haven’t had anything like that all summer.
I’ll give you your stuff when you come in.
TO: Siren/ Brooks
Yeah, got here a few hours ago.
I have something for you from Jamaica, though you’ll need to come down here soon so you can enjoy it.
It’ll die soon, but I got it right before I headed to the airport so we got maybe 9 or 10 hours?
Can't pussyfoot my way out of this now. She sighed, having quickly sent and put away her phone before she could question all of her life choices with what she sent Brooks, instead choosing to focus back on Deanna.

He only arched his brow towards Jax, watching him sheepishly apologize with a deadpan expression,” Oh how you flatter me, but my summer wasn’t all that exciting; quite the opposite actually. It was torturously boring. The longest 2 months of my existence.” Despite his dramatic words his face barely changed, resting in that expressionless mask he’s known for as he watches Jax from the corner of his eye. He didn’t reply at the suggestion of moving, only looking back down to his phone and was about to go back to reading, if Jax didn’t practically drag him out of his seat.
So with a sigh, Cassius gently moved his snakes back into the small containers on the coffee table before following him into the kitchen, eyes still glued to the words on his phone while the three shared their pleasantries only speaking up at the mention of his name,” I’m already planning on running away, don’t give me more incentives old man.” That’s about as close as Cassius get to playing up this strange family roleplay, those three insist on playing.
The sound of the most bitter of the Sigmas entering the house finally had Cassius give up trying to read through his story with a huff of frustration as the most excitable came in right behind making a ruckus. “I just got a headache,” was all he muttered in reply as River made a beeline straight to the fridge, the smallest trace of disdain in his voice as he watched him before a punch to the shoulder brought him out of it,” It’s almost like I never left England.”
He pushed his glasses back up his nose and stood up straight once more,” Shall I start us off, then? My summer was boring as all hell, went back to Rye, bought snakes in London. Nothing else out of the ordinary happened. It’s exactly what you would expect to happen.” He sped through what happened in the past few months, clipping his words to save time and move on to someone else before leaning back on the wall. “Next.”
