Delaney stupidly stole a short glance at Tiger, able to see the tears running down her cheeks and she fought her sober urge to tell her friend it was going to be alright. The guys were pleasantly impressed by Laney. It showed Lane just how stupid they were. The fact that she’d been on the verge of breaking down a few hours ago, because she couldn’t her life anymore, to now standing in front of them, sober none the less and selling out Cody. Who she knew Draco was well aware she’d always liked. Gary was a small town and everyone knew Cody and Delaney were just as close as Tiger and Jordan had been. Cody and Lane had just never slapped a title on it. She knew Draco though, better then she should. She knew exactly the kind of guy he was that night at the party. She could see the evil in his eyes, there was no other word to describe it and she knew Alex. She knew Alex well, all his insecurities and the way he reacted to situations. Clay was simply a carbon copy of Alex and when Lane figured that out, she had just needed that push to play them.

The guys only had one thing on their minds, it was the thought of finally breaking the girls past the point of return by killing Cody and Jordan. There biggest mistake was severally underestimating Lane, the same way everyone always did. Alex and Draco probed her with a parade of questions. She hadn’t hesitated when she’d told them everything with a coldness, that only gained the guys trust that much more. She’d told them that Cody had told her to meet him at the old warehouse in Gary. Mistake number one, Alex and Clay didn’t know the warehouse or the area that surrounded it. Cody and Jordan knew it like they knew her and Tiger. It was practically their second home growing up. There second mistake was the fact that they’d decided Lane would be the mediator. That she’d be able to have more contact with Cody, to make get more information from him if they needed it.

Finally, the guys told the girls to leave the room and Delaney had already gotten what she wanted. Her and Tiger were as good as free, if she could keep her shit together. Her main concern was to get Tiger out, so that she didn’t have to feel guilty. She’d never forgive herself, because she knew how fucked up Lily was, they’d been enduring the same hell for months. Lane would feel a million times better though, if she could just get her friend out alive.

The slipped into one of the bedroom and as soon as the door shut behind them and Laney turned back to face Tiger, a stinging pain shot through her face. She clenched her jaw biting back a wave of pain. "You fucking bitch." Lil spat and even though Delaney knew she was just upset it still hurt. "You don't even understand..." she cried. Laney swallowed hard already knowing she was referring to Draco and Lane knew a little too well. "Draco killed Blue. I buried her for him. He's making me relive it, you're going to die." She admitted. Lane sighed, a lot of people had suspected it, but they were too scared to confront Draco. "He'll make me dig a nice big hole, then he'll kill me and put both our bodies in it, along with Jordan and Cody's now. Hell, probably even Alex and Clay too, since they're witnesses." She finished.

Delaney met her friend red, watery eyes. Hearing her confession killed Lane. She hated that Tiger had been carrying that weight for so many years. She’d always tried her best to protect Lily, because she knew her home life was shit. Lane somehow felt a separate guilt for not being there when Draco had killed Blue, although Laney knew she wouldn’t have been able to do much. She let out a sigh, ready to confess her own secret, the one that had shut her down to begin with.

“I’m sorry you carried that for so long Ty.” Delaney said and it was probably the most honest she’d ever been. “I know I couldn’t have done much, but I wish I could have.” Lane admitted. She pushed off the door, knowing her and Lil were safe to talk the guys wouldn’t bother with them for the rest of the night. They were too busy trying to make a plan that in the end would fail. Lane made her way across the room, she sunk down to the floor in front of Tiger, crossing her legs under her. She looked down at her hands, hating what she was about to say. “I have a confession.” She breathed, her voice quiet. “When you asked me if I knew who raped me that night at the party.” There was hesitation to her voice and Lane couldn’t help the tears that pooled in her eyes. “I lied. It was Draco and one of his friends.” She shrugged, like it hadn’t ruined her whole fucking life. Like it wasn’t the reason her dad hated her.

She started nervously picking at the skin on the side of her thumb unable to look her best friend in the eyes. “I got pregnant, my dad was pissed.” She let out a sad, laugh recalling the memory. “He thought it was Cody’s. Imagine that.” The tears fell down her cheeks and she let out a shuttered breath. “That was why I stopped hanging out with you guys. My dad decided regular abuse and house arrest was the best way to deal with me.” She’d never even told Cody the whole story. She’d hid it and just let people believe she was just the Burrow’s terribly rebellious daughter.

She sat up on her knees placing her hands on her friend’s knees. “I’m not as crazy as everyone thinks.” she said grabbing Lily’s chin and lifting her eyes to look at her. “You of all people should know that.” She smiled at her friend. “Crazy and fucked up are two different things, I mean I’m a little of both.” She teased. “Where do you think my loyalty lies?” she asked Lil. She was well aware that most people thought they knew her, when they couldn’t be more wrong even Cody and Tiger didn’t know as much about her as they thought and that was clearly showing. “I just set a trap for those assholes, they aren’t even going to know what hit them.” Delaney smirked. “I love you, I’m going to get you out of here babe.” She breathed with determination, as if they hadn’t grown apart. It was like they were still as thick as thieves.

Jordan didn’t really care what Cody had to say. He knew it would be in some stupid defense of Delaney. His teenage daydream, who played him like a fiddle. Jordan wasn’t going to let Tiger die because of Cody’s inability to know when Lane was fucking him over. Jordan had seen it time and time again. He’d watched it for years. Cody was just so fucking blind to it. Not that he could blame him, if Tiger was anything like Lane, Jordan would probably be just as blind to it. Tiger was nothing like Delaney though and he wasn’t going to let the person he loved die, because his high school friend was a reckless, psychopathic, bitch. Jordan made his way towards the door, fumbling to grab his keys from their hook. He hadn’t even been successful at getting the keys before Cody was dragging him back into the living room.

Cody shoved him down on the couch. Jordan rolled his eyes clearly irritated. Jordan really had no interest in Cody’s revelation or his explanation for his delusional girlfriend’s behavior. A million terrible insults danced on the tip of Jordan’s tongue. He parted his lips to start spitting them at Cody as he lend forward to grab one of the unfinished beers on the coffee table, before he could get a word in edge wise though Cody started in.

"She's luring them to us." Jordan scoffed at the confidence in Cody’s voice. He finished off the beer tossing the bottle recklessly over his shoulder. "They think we're going to be expecting our girls so we'll be standing there, unarmed, and vulnerable, so they're going to show up to kill us." Jordan listened, but he wasn’t really hearing. "But we'll be ready. We'll both have guns, Romeo, and all his guys. We'll get the girls back, be able to take those assholes alive, and not even have to leave the country or break a sweat." Another smirk came to Cody’s lips as he finished explaining.

Jordan didn’t have as much faith in Lane as Cody did. It wasn’t exactly like his old friend had that best track record. Hell, Rome had gone to prison multiple times and he trusted him more then someone he’d grown up with. Jordan was having a hard time leaving the fate of Tiger’s life in Delaney’s hands. Even if what Cody was saying was true, it still seemed like a long shot. He had more faith in the fact that Ty would survive in the hands of Clay and Draco a little longer while they got to Mexico. He had zero faith in Lane’s ability to lure Clay, Alex, and Draco to them. There was no way those guys were that stupid. Jordan stood up and held Cody’s eyes.

“I’m calling bullshit.” Jordan blurred harshly. “I get that you want to believe she’s on our side, because you care about her, but the reality of it is she’s mentally unstable Cody and you fucking know it.” He spat. “it’s like some weird obsession you have man, she’s just like your mom.” Jordan said, not realizing how cruel the words really were because he was fucked up. “You think if you can do right by her, your doing right by your mom?” He breathed the question and he was well aware that Cody was probably unaware he knew anything about what happened to his mother. However, at one-time Jordan’s mom and Cody’s mother had been best friends and Jordan’s mom knew exactly what happened to Cody’s mom. “That’s not how it works, you can’t fucking help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.” Jordan’s voice rose with frustration. “Your just as fucked up in the head if you believe a word she that crazy ass bitch says.” He scoffed.

“I’ve lost everything.” Jordan’s voice finally broke, that was the real issue here. Tiger was the one thing he had left and he couldn’t, wouldn’t’ lose her. “I’m sorry man, but I don’t trust her. She’s fucking with you like she always does and I can’t lose Lily because of it.” He admitted. “She’s all I have left and I won’t let you, be the reason I lose her for a second time.” He said raising his voice his temper getting the better of him. “Fuck that.” She practically growled as he started towards the stairs, with the full intent to pack a bag and head to Mexico, despite the fact he wasn’t supposed to leave the country.

There was no doubt in his mind he’d more than pissed off Cody with his words, but Jordan didn’t care. He couldn’t stand the thought of not doing something about Tiger’s situation right then and there. Waiting on a plan seemed like a lot of waiting and simply hoping things would turn out okay. Jordan didn’t run off of hope.
