He was one of the guys from Team Plasma, so he didn't believe in pokéballs. He was, what, like, my 6th trainer? Anyway, he wasn't very nice, and hung out with all the wrong folks, but he did prepare good food.
"He and the pilot were in for a long flight, so the pilot turned on auto-pilot and fell asleep. However, a bunch of Wingulls flew into the engine, so we crashed on some island. They did, at least. I was unlucky enough to jump before we crashed, so I had a slow parachute descent into the water. I hate water, as it's just warm ice, but, lucky me, there was some flotsam about i landed on. I then paddled until I got here. I'm in between trainers right now, as you can see.", continued Gary, gesturing toward his sandy T-shirt. Then, an idea popped into his head.
