When Sen was at last released from work, she hung up her apron and pocketed her money, having finished two dressed today. Madame Pomfrey was working her hard, but it wasn't as if Sen didn't enjoy it. She yawned and stretched, locking up the shop before going to find Yasu in the square, who looked more than a bit perturbed about something. "What's wrong?" Sen frowned, sitting beside her. "Did you go to work today?" Had Yasu gotten fired? Sen glanced at the shopping bags, wondering what Yasu had bought herself that entailed so many bags. "Hey, is everything alright?" Sen inquired worriedly, turning towards her partner. "Is it Mira? Did she find out?" Sen swallowed hard, images of being dragged back to Onyx flooding her mind. "You didn't give us away, did you?" Sen inquired warily.
She took the bags from Yasu and began to direct her back towards the house. Already the square had been liberated of all festival decorations. Gone were the fancy banners, the beautiful flower bundles, and tables full of fresh food and drink. Today the only thing in the square were the fountain and bench that the two girls met by everyday after work. "Maybe something to eat will cheer you up? The squash in the garden are growing nicely and I got paid! Maybe we'll have enough to get those two chickens?" Sen meant live chickens of course, ones that would lay fresh eggs for them every morning. That would be a burden off of their backs and supposedly you could feed them vegetable scraps, which would lead to less waste in the long run. "Is it Kotaru? Did something happen to him?" Sen made sure to keep her voice low, not wishing for them to be overheard.
When they at last reached their humble abode, Sen opened up the door and led Yasu to the table. Sen prepared a simple sandwich with butter and hard cheese for Yasu, as well as a leftover candy from the party. "Here, try to eat. Maybe you'll feel better after?" Sen suggested quietly, sitting across from Yasu, who looked as though she had just swallowed a live worm. "It's okay, you don't have to tell me, but um, whatever it is that's bugging you, if it's important, you can tell me. We've been together this long, you can trust me." Sen wouldn't betray Yasu, not ever! Those Princeses may have offered Yasu a job but she would not take it unless there was a space for Yasu to come in beside her.
"Now let's go through those things you bought today," Sen opened up one of the bags, confused when she saw that it was full of hair accessories. "They're cute, but why?" Was this some sort of hint that Sen should do a better job at hiding the fact that she was wearing a wig? Perhaps Sen had known somehow, that the Princesses had mentioned the fact that Sen was trying to hide her hair? "The Princesses were at my shop today, they had several dresses for us to make and Madame Pomfrey gave it to them when they insulted me." Sen said with a smile, taking a seat across from Yasu and kicking off her shoes to rest her feet.
