Cara was avoiding doing anything special tonight. It was a Friday, so some would probably find it sad for her to be sitting home alone, but sometimes, sitting home alone while everyone else was out at expensive bars and clubs and restaurants, pretending to like people that they talked shit about every other minute of the day, was liberating. It was nice to recognize that you didn't need to always do things just to make other people happy, and that your absence sometimes made people appreciate your presence all the more. Additionally, over the past few weeks, Cara had been doing a lot of socializing with old friends and she was ready for a nice, relaxing night to herself. Admittedly, she was also partially satisfied with staying in because she wanted to see if Roman would take her up on her out-of-character invitation to come over tonight, but she wasn't banking on it. Just as he was skeptical of her intentions, she was skeptical of his. She didn't think that his intentions were pure to begin with, but what she was really unsure about, was whether he would actually go through with sleeping with her again. She was intrigued by him, and that was why she was willing to initiate a second round, but she didn't want to be the one pushing it, only to have him stand her up and try to rub that in her face later on. She wasn't
that into him. In reality, she wasn't sure why she liked him. She supposed that once she realized that Nick wasn't an option for her, it became more clear that Roman also offered that bad boy vibe that she was turned on by, but without any strings attached. Granted, he was still friends with Brooklyn, and additionally, he didn't fit the image of someone that she would typically date or fool around with, but if it was just a no strings attached kind of situation, they could avoid both of those things being a problem. Part of Cara felt like she was soon going to crave a relationship (not necessarily with him, just in general), but for now, she thought that she would do okay with something purely sexual. She didn't think he could have any objections about that either. The only issue would be doing so in a discrete enough manner that no one would find out.

I'm not desperate enough to lie. If you sold it for heroin money, I'll kill you bc I actually liked that clutch...Maybe the text that she sent back to him wasn't the best to set the mood, but Cara couldn't entirely abandon her normal personality, especially after such a dumb text. As she changed out of her pajamas into a nicer "pajama set"; one that she would insist were part of her normal pajama wardrobe, and not actually lingerie or something that she was wearing for the first time, which it was, she sent a follow-up text.

So hurry up, find it, and come over. The door's unlocked. Collin and your friend are gone for the night, and I'm getting bored.She also responded to Chanel's text, that she hadn't noticed had come in a while ago, until just now.
