After bidding Luther goodnight, Barynn headed up to the Tower Room. There was a bit of a bounce in her step and a smile on her lips as she changed into a simple nightdress, a plain, knee-length white one with short sleeves and a scooped neckline. She laid down in the bed, curling up beneath the covers and getting comfortable. After the long day she'd had, it didn't take her long to drift peacefully off to sleep.

Her sleep, however, would not remain as peaceful as it began. Several times over the course of the night, Barynn found herself waking with a start from some nightmare that, though she couldn't remember what it was, had her sick to her stomach and restless. Each time, she struggled to get back to sleep. She was soon feeling exhausted, perhaps even moreso than she had been when she went to bed.

Morning came, but finally, Barynn was sound asleep. At a first glance, it appeared to be a restful sleep, but every minute or so, a little whimper would leave the dwarf's lips, or she'd shift uncomfortably in her sleep. Every now and then, she'd even speak a small, frightened little word, a "No" or a "Stop". She was supposed to be meeting Luther in the kitchen at 9:30, but that time was fast approaching and still, her fitful, nightmare-plagued sleep had her in its grasp.
