Her parents were always sleeping a couple hours after she awoke and it just happens that she wouldn't ever see them until lunch time. But today was different. There was a staff meeting and it was mandatory that everyone was there.
After a couple hours of cleaning, she started towards the entryway, in hopes that she wasn't going to be late for the first meeting of the summer. It turned out that she was just early enough to spot the Slater's step through the front doors and began making their way towards the lobby. Their daughter seemed to be carrying a pie.
Is this a joke? Paisley immediately knew all hopes of this being a good kickstart to the summer was headed straight down the drain. No matter how much she didn't want to deal with the drama, she knew the Passmores would be disappointed to hear that she completely walked away from their rivals without even speaking a word.
"Ah, the Slaters, what a pleasure," she started, trying to keep every inch of sarcasm out of her voice. "I assume you're hear to see the Passmores. I'll let them know you're here," she stated before turning on her heels towards their living quarters in the mansion.
Paisley's first stop was the study, where she hoped she would come across Jonathan, but there was no sight of him there. She then began to make her way through the halls, finding that Jonathan was just starting to walk away from Jacob's room. "Mr. Passmore," the redhead stated, retrieving his attention. "The Slaters are by the front desk. They seemed to have brought you a pie," she finished with a bit of reluctance about the pie. A pie coming from the Slaters? Definitely not one she would ever trust.
