Thunder continued to pound overhead as the group conversed. Upon inspecting it, Rei would find no sign of the food being alive, but it was thoroughly spoiled, as previously mentioned. The expression that appeared on the servant's face was evidence enough that something was wrong - that this wasn't what he expected to see when he prepared to serve them. Upon hearing the exclamation of his new master, Thierri, the small humanoid returned to the main hall to uncover the source of his sudden excitement. If Rei chose to follow as Iviri had, the three of them would see Thierri standing before the lever that was now in the "on" position, hand pointed toward the glowing runes encircling it.

"I didn't pay much attention to it before, but I've seen these runes before." Thierri explained, "They're meant to create a spell that keeps this place in temporal stasis but they've been damaged .. which explains why this place is in far from pristine condition."

At this moment, it was likely that the piles of accumulated dust and the occasional cobweb scattered throughout the room became more noticeable to the group - once impertinent details now revealed to be important pieces of evidence that had been lying before them all along.

Thierri continued to ponder on the discovery for a few minutes. Then, his eyes widened as a look of grave concern flashed upon his face. He even mouthed the words "oh no" beneath his breath before snapping his head back to the runes to his left. He tried to look examine them further in the hopes of gaining more information about them to no avail. "Well this isn't good." he said with a nervous laugh and reached up to scratch his arm. There was a small white tattoo on his shoulder, seemingly of a name in Elven script, that had begun to twist and wind in figure eight patterns as he spoke.
