"Excuse me, why are there twice different kinds of processors and again two different kinds of processor infrastructures?" She sked the attendant.

"Well there are coprocessors and main processors. Coprocessors are responsible for you being able to use your body. It is pretty much a replacement of the brain stem which maintains basic bodily functions. Most full body cyborgs had their brain stems removed as they are incompatible with the body as it cannot control its functions. So that is why we have coprocessors. Then the main processors are for people who have had accidents severe enough that they could only maintain their memories. So the main processor helps recover their personalities and function with those memories." The attendant said.

"So sort of like me, where I basically have only half of my original brain or less." Aoi said.

"Yes." The attendant said. "Then the infrastructures. The older infrastructures you will still find in normal PCs. These are also used in older models. Nowadays they have more cons than pros as they need a lot of power, arent too thermally efficient and cyborgs fitted with them occasionally experience emotional instability or sometimes even seem too robotic because the processor "forgets" to emulate the emotions. Newer models use quantum computing disks which usually in modern standard models have around 128 qubits which is more that enough. Due to the function of quantum computing, you do not need to mod the processors but only replace them if they cause problems. Usually they lock about 40 of the qubits in stock, but I can unlock them so that you can have more processing power and memory as qubits function as both memory and processors. You still tend to have an external memory device for security purposes such as to prevent hacking or viruses. But usually we use normal memory sticks for that since quantum computing is not always compatible with regular files."

"Cool." Aoi said. "Well then. How about you unlock two qubits and give me better external memory. I would need it to make video games. I am also thinking about getting a higher resolution projector eye and a more powerful sound output in case I need to be the DJ at a party and really want banging music."

"Well, I recommend the 10 petabyte memory or if you have the money we have exabyte (1000 petabytes/1 million terabytes) memory. I have a 128M projector eye or if you take two you can practically create holograms. And we have a speaker that can safely produce 110 db with a powerful bass without causing damage to your body. With the two qubits and the 10 petabyte memory, that will cost around 2000. If you take the exabyte memory, we are looking at 3000." The attendant said.

"Well I do have to make investments, so I will take the bigger memory." Aoi said.

"Okay. We will need about ten minutes to calibrate and prepare the parts and we can get to modding." The attendant said. She turned to Kali and Tatsuda. "In the meanwhile, can I be of assistance to you?"
