Elias woke early as he always did heading out he went for a jog. He knew there were going to be training games so he cut the run to half its usual length. Settling into a workout with a few pushups, pull-up, crunches and stretches. Cooling down he threw a few knives to settle into the right mindset for the games to come.
The party the night before had shown off how quickly people's interests changed. The party had been enjoyable enough, but the games that were played there. He never really got the point of them. Maybe it was a kind of training for the Aphrodite kids, but for him really they were a waste of time. He'd seen one thing there though. The outsiders from the main social group seemed, for the most part, to stick together. Those kinds of places were always the best. they were the ones with the strongest sense of community.
Finishing reflecting and thinking on the events of the last night he looked up at the sky. It was getting late and he would need to be getting down to eat breakfast. It would not do to go out to the games hungry. Heading down to get breakfast he piled up a plate then scanned the area. Finding a seat off away from most of the people there. As he ate he looked around the room scanning to see who was around, and not wanting to be shocked by anything.
