Chance chuckled in his hyena sort of way at Gabe's comment about earning his keep.
"I'll keep that in mind, but I'm sure it takes more than a good meal to get close to you." He was actually really happy to have made a good impression on Gabe and that he liked the meal. He toyed with the idea of settling down with Gabe, but he had just met him that day, so it might be a little soon to start planning the wedding.
"Actually, I live right here in the same apartment complex. Apartment B14, down one floor. Can't believe I've been living here all this time and never noticed there was another therian living here."
He sat down next to Gabe on the couch after cleaning the dishes. He kicked off his shoes as well and mimicked Gabe's posture putting his feet up as well. He felt more relaxed as Gabe asked more personal questions and was becoming more friendly with him.
"So what's your favorite food? If I'm gonna be cooking for you, it'll help to know what you like."
