Keona's dark eyes widened as she saw the man reach the cart and throw a rock at the horse. She was relieved that the horse wasn't hurt, but then it took off. She could hear Lenandel trying to get it to slow down, but it wouldn't. Keona pulled a knife off her belt, about to throw it at the man who was moving towards Iridessa, but then she dodged him expertly. It would take him a moment to get turned around and by then, Iridessa would be long gone. Keona gripped the edge of the cart with one hand, leaning out the back as far as she could with her arm out, a terrified expression on her face. "Iridessa!" she called, reaching one arm out to the blonde girl and hoping that she'd be able to reach her in time. The horse didn't seem too keen on stopping any time soon.
