"It was our father's," she said to Iridessa in a soft voice. "He left it to Lenandel when he died. Mine's nowhere near as exciting," she said with a slight shrug, and Lenandel smirked. "Maybe not," he said, "but at least in 30 years or so you can pass yours on to one of all those babies you plan on having one day and they'll think it's a big deal, right?" He was smirking, and Keona frowned slightly at his words, not responding.
