"Damn, do I ever wish it was a real place, too," he agreed with a grin as he took the salmon off the heat and began to plate it. "I'll tell you what, though - if I ever find an underwater civilization with merfolk, you're the first person I'll take there," he joked. "In all seriousness though, I try to portray the women in my books the way I see them - strong, and unique, and capable.
