Angela was giddy. She bounced on her toes, stretched a bit, and grinned at Tallyho.

“Alright then! Let’s go!” She wasted no time jumping into the water, hooting and cheering as they dove.

She hit with a large splash and immediately began kicking her legs, propelling her and Tallyho to the surface at a reasonable speed. It was slower than she expected, swimming with someone else in tow, and a lot more difficult than she had anticipated. But she knew what she was doing. Swimming was just part of growing up on the California coastline. That combined with the strength from cheerleading gave her all the muscle she needed.

The technique was a bit lacking, though. As she breached the surface, arms firmly wrapped around Tallyho, she found it difficult to steer. Still, she was beaming with delight.

“And we’re afloat! Don’t worry about your legs, I’ll do all the kicking!”
