He stopped rather abruptly when he heard a powerful gust of wind and a sudden breeze tickled the back of his neck. He turned sharply to see Cam, the angel push himself of the ground. If Khee wouldn't have been shot in the leg he would be rather excited that the angel had come to his rescue. "Khee," Cam called out quietly to him and moved closer. "Khee, what happened?" The angel was now close enough to probably see and smell the dark patch of blood on the back of his leg. "Oh just got shot with a little silver" he spoke quietly through gritted teeth but tried to speak in a delighted (yet still sarcastic) tone. "Nothing I can't handle!" He winked at the angel, but his expression faltered as his leg throbbed again.
βWhat happened? You guys stopped too closeβ¦ should have kept running.β Khee nearly jumped out of his skin at the apparent presence of the vampire. "Jesus, I know we're supposed to be quiet an all but you gave a poor fae a heart attack", leave it up to Khee to try and maintain his positive and goofy self in times of crisis. βDo you know where the others are? We need to keep moving.β Khee shook his head, "I lost everyone the moment we ran out the door". After staring at Colette for a moment he started to notice her discomfort and became a little nervous. In the moment he completely forgot that she fed on blood, which he currently was supplying. βI might have to carry him, what about you? Are you injured?β Kheelan was about to preach how her carrying him was probably not the best idea, when Joah decided to make a rather grandeur entrance from the trees.
"For fuck's sakes, Kheelan," Joah whispered sharply, "you're going to hurt yourself more." Kheelan gestured to his leg, "I'm sorry but I can't exactly heal with a damn silver bullet lodged in my leg".
Joah disregarded his comment, typical Khee was still working on their friendship, "Can you carry him and still run?" he asked Colette. "If we get out of here, we can find a drugstore and take care of this." Kheelan opened his mouth to express his thoughts on the plan but Joah spoke again. "Does anyone actually know where we are?"
Kheelan finally interjected holding up a hand, interrupting the others. "I'm sorry but can we take a moment to realize that me Tarzan-ing on the back of a vampire, while I'm bleeding is probably not the best idea? I mean - no offense - but I'm not looking to be Colette's snack on her late night run!" He whispered both scared, exasperated, and frustrated. Not to mention, the stories of fae blood and vamps where enough to make him more than a little nervous.
