She fucking called me out. Aaron thought as soon as he heard the first sentence that came out of her mouth.

When she threw a pillow at him, he grabbed it and looked at her, surprised. Initially, he had thought she was annoyed or mad at him. That wasn't the feeling he got though, as she continued. Well.. Maybe annoyed. Either way, Aaron listened to all she had to say and tried to understand it. He wanted to say something but didn't know how to start. He merely watched as she got her things out of the bag and went for the shower.

"Hmm." Was all he managed as she shut the door behind her. First off he'd felt awkward, then she seemed awkward about it.
It wasn't so much the fact that he felt awkward about staying with a girl, it was more the fact that he was so focused on not making her feel awkward about the whole thing. Then, she did raise a very fine point about her being the one inviting him to stay in her room.

"You're a fucking idiot, do you know that, Aaron?" He mumbled to himself and smirked.

He approached the door and paused.

"Look, it's not the fact that I'm staying in your room so much..." He paused, briefly wondering if she could even hear him. And also wondering if this might actually be awkward, talking to her while she was in the shower. "It's just that I'm really not that good with people, and I kind of just wanted to make sure that you were not feeling weird about the whole thing. But you did raise a fair point about that, you know, what with you being the one inviting." Aaron paused and shrugged.

It probably just was his lacking social skills that got in the way.

"So I think I was probably just too focused on not making you feel awkward. And it's not like.. I mean.. I've seen.. Uh.. It's not because you're a girl. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd like to stay here." Aaron paused and chuckled. "And now I'll let you shower in peace."

He shook his head as he sat down in the chair next to the shower. Aaron silently wondered if she was going to punch him if he asked her if he should sleep on the floor. The thought made him chuckle again.
