|| Never Enough|| The Greatest Showman ||
It happened once more while she was assisting in setting the table. The sudden bout of anxiety that clutched her chest, making it hard to breathe. "Leo," Yui walked over to him calmly, removing her jacket. "I think I'm having a heart attack," in alarm, the Doctor began to unpack his medical kit, checking her vitals and listening to her heart. "No Yui, your vitals are stable for the time being." Leo shook his head, leaving Yui confused. Tears suddenly welled up in her eyes and she felt inexplicably nauseous. "Yui, have you ever heard of anxiety?" The child shook her head, wondering what that was. Leo sat down on the floor beside her, attempting to think of a way that would be easy for her to understand.
"Sometimes, our brain has a way of thinking about things, even if we're not always listening to what it's saying. This can cause feelings to well up inside of you without your knowledge, which can cause chest tightness, nausea, and difficulty breathing." Those were all of the symptoms that Yui was experiencing and she wondered how Leo was so good at this. "So it's anxiety, not a heart attack?" Leo nodded, ruffling her hair and packing up his tool kit. "I can give you some medicine for it if you'd like?" Yui shook her head, she would rather not take yucky pills, who knows what effect they would have on this body. "I'd rather just try to push through it," wiping her tears from her eyes, Yui sniffled and rose to her feet, she had to set the table after all.
"Lunch time everyone!" Yui called, hoping all signs of tears had been wiped from her face. She poked her head outside to see Ronan giving Ren and Luna a lesson on something or another, perhaps a magic trick. "Guys, we're gonna eat soon. Ally says the ship predicts we'll find the whales soon." Her eyes glimmered at the thought of getting to see them. Yui headed back inside, taking a seat by the window. She shrugged off her jacket, a bit too toasty inside of the cabin. Xavier took a seat next to Damian and Ally sat across from Leo, their group waiting for the final three before digging into the yummy, American style lunch Damian had made them. "What is all this?" Yui asked, her eyes widening ever so slightly.
"I wanted to try my hand at some American classics, so I made a bit too much I think." Damian scratched his cheek as he removed the lids off of their food. He had packed it all bento style, but it was pretty clear that it wasn't traditional Japanese. Tatertot casserole, hamburgers dripping with gooey cheese, some sort of fish chowder, biscuits smothered in savory sauce. "Wow," was all Yui could muster.
