After he finished wiping down the equipment that his last client of the afternoon had been using, Hudson spent forty-five minutes completing his own workout before heading to the showers. He was sweaty and feeling fatigued, but it was that tiredness that somehow felt good. It felt like an accomplishment, and as he checked himself out in one of the mirrors on his way out of the locker room once he was dressed again, the accomplishment felt even more worthwhile. Though Hudson wasn't nearly as much of a conceited jerk as he had been in his younger days, when that college frat-boy mentality had been second nature to him, he didn't think that there was any harm in admiring his own strengths. If his appearance happened to be one of his best qualities, than so be it. It wasn't like he didn't work hard to maintain it. With that in mind, even if he was humble and truly wasn't the type of guy who expected girls to spread their legs just at looking at him, he still was a bit disappointed that last night hadn't ended in any action. The girls that he had been talking with at the bar had been cool and attractive, but it just didn't lead to where he hoped it would. While it was mildly disappointing, he didn't take it as too much of a hit to his ego. Today was Saturday, and as he told himself, Saturdays were usually luckier when it came to getting that type of action. After a hard workout, he was feeling even more invigorated in that sense.
As he returned to his apartment building, he found himself stuck behind a small group of people who were slowly trailing up the stairs behind a couple guys moving furniture. As to not seem bothered by the delay, he remained a few steps behind them as he slowly paced himself up the flights of stairs. He definitely made a mental note of how moving to this building so far seemed like a good move; all three of the girls who looked over eighteen were all smoking hot. Noticing that was all it took for Hudson to want to make an initiative at being friendly, so he caught up to them. "Need help with that?" he asked the only brunette of the group, once they had reached the landing of the flight they were on. She had a large box in her hands that, if not heavy, at least seemed inconveniently sized for her. "Moving sucks, I actually just moved in here a couple days ago myself, so I feel your pain."
