[justify]James smiled despite himself as Chloe showed up with a smoothie. He shrugged as she mentioned about the hospital, and laughed a little as she mentioned the coffee shop. "They're good places to talk. Don't look suspicious, relatively easy to talk without being overheard by people, and nobody pays attention to anyone else." He took a sip out of his coffee. "And it has absolutely nothing to do with my caffeine addiction. Speaking of which, no energy drink today?" He asked, grinning at her. This felt too much like small talk, like the other night hadn't happened, with it's kisses and explosions and gunfire. It felt wrong and yet also strangely right.
"I suppose I better give you this after you coming all this way," he said, sliding the bracelet across to her. "Seems much longer than just a few days since then," he added, readjusting the bracelets on his own arm. He knew that she wouldn't notice the scar from this distance but that didn't stop him from still having that vague worry in the back of his head.
"I guess we also need to talk about... yeah. I think we need to talk. About everything," he said, dropping his voice a little. The bunch of girls in the booth next to them seem much to engrossed in their own conversation to pay any attention to James and Chloe, but it was nearly more out of habit than anything else.
"If it helps, I think my family has more or less come to a consensus that maybe bringing me to meetings isn't the best idea. First one I go to and I end up on crutches, and the building damn near burns down. I'm gonna use it to my advantage though," he said, wanting to at least start the conversation off on a light note.[justify]
