Max followed Spectre into her apartment and locked the door behind her as she did whenever she returned home. Lord knows she's forget to close it if she didn't do it as soon as she got back. She removed her boots and jackets and placed them on the racks where they were stored. She picked up Spectre's heels from where she had discarded them and did the same. The jacket, she let the woman keep. It could be pretty chilly in the apartment sometimes.
From the front door, she moved towards the kitchen and answered Spectre's question. "No, he's not German. I did that because I didn't want to announce I have a villain in my apartment." She opened the cabinet with the glasses and pulled out two before moving to the refrigerator to fill them with ice and water. "Villains may run the city, but that doesn't mean that they're loved everywhere. The last thing is someone attempting to break into my house tonight just because you're here."
She walked over to the couch and placed the glasses on the table. One for Spectre and one for Max. But before Max could sit down and enjoy the glass, she went back to the kitchen, grabbed a plastic bag, and filled that with ice. Then she went to her front closet and pulled out her first aid kit to retrieve an ace bandage. Then she finally made her way back to Spectre and sat on the floor in front of her, reaching for her foot. "Here, Spectre. Let me see. I can patch it up." She wasn't going to touch the woman if she wasn't going to allow it though. If she wanted to do it, she could be Max's guest. But Max wasn't willing to sit still until it was taken care of.
Her need to assess coursed through her the way her training had drilled into her. She wanted to check the woman's pupils to see what affect the drug was having on her system. She wanted to be sure nothing else was more seriously hurt. Etc. However, she knew that it would probably freak Spectre out too much.
