Yui walked on her own stop the glass sky, wind fluttering through her hair, ruffling her feathers, gentle, like an old soul. She could sense it all around her, a sort of peaceful sleep that pulled towards them, attempting to enter their minds. "A little bit farther," Yui said, hoping her heart to be true. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath in, and continued to walk towards the endless dawn, the reflection below them hazy, as though it were a looking pond that waved the more they skipped rocks across it. "Something isn't right," Yui frowned, feeling a niggling in the back of her mind. What was it? It made her feel uneasy.
Mizuki suddenly began to scream, thrashing, clawing at the ground as though she were trying to escape. What was going on? What was happening to Mizuki? It only made sense that Yui couldn't hear it, after all. She wasn't human. She would not be able to join the humans in their paradise of glass skies and pink sands. Yui held onto Mizuki's hand, hoping that her grip was comforting. "Do you hear something Mizuki?" Yui frowned, wondering what was happening. She attempted to miracle a pair of earplugs for Mizuki, but was uncertain if they would help considering whatever it was seemed to be taking place within the mind. Why? Why couldn't Yui hear it? She turned, her eyes widening when she caught sight of Ren and Luna. "Ren! Lulu!" Yui screamed, not letting go of Mizuki's hand. She ran forward, attempting to reach them.
At last Yui could hear it, their voices transporting directly into her mind. "We have to wake them Mizuki," Yui said in terror, knowing that whatever this Resplendia was, it was scary and quite powerful. "Stop it!" Yui screamed. After all, it was her job to save humanity. "This isn't saving them! You're just hurting everyone!" She squeezed Mizuki's hand comfortingly, hoping that Mizuki could still feel it. "Don't let it get to you." She leaned Mizuki against her, managing to take a step forward. "Hang on guys, I'm coming for you," the ground beneath her opened up. Yui wobbled, pushing Mizuki back towards safety as she fell, attempting to make her wings grow to their full span.
"Luna! Ren!" Yui screamed, hoping to snap them out of their reverie. Yui winced, a screaming filled her ears, the words becoming softer until they formed sentences.

Yui reached towards the sky, the wind stinging her eyes. Tears traveled upwards as she fell down, hitting the ground with a terrible sound. A mouth emerged from the sea of pink dust, grabbing Yui's legs in its jowls. "No," Yui whimpered, terrified. It dragged her towards the gaping hole in the ground, pulling her down into the darkness. "Save them!" Yui screamed as the inky blackness filled her mouth, her eyes, choking her. The seizures, was this why they wouldn't stop? She was an error in the program, the more it tried to drag her in, the worse the seizures became. Chomp! It crunched through her legs, releasing her at last. Yui screamed in pain, the darkness ar last giving way to light.
Diamonds stuck up from every angle of the cavern, Yui laying in a basket, her legs detached. They sparkled in the light, shards of star dust reflecting in the glow that pulsated all around her. "I can do this," Yui breathed. This wasn't real, her body was still whole. If she lost her legs, too much of her memory would be gone. If she lost her legs, she wouldn't be able to save everyone.
