|| Never Enough|| The Greatest Showman ||
The next morning, Yui had regained enough feeling to sit up. The vocal cord paralysis had gone away as well and as Ally nudged her awake in order to wash her ena, Yui managed to utter a good morning. "I'm so tired," Yui said, wiggling her toes as she tested them. Unfortunately, the effects of the seizures had left a slight tremor to her body, one that Leo had said was fixable. In the meanwhile, it looked as though the child was quivering in fear. She sat up, her arms shaking as she moved to support herself. "Dying twice in one day will do that to you," Ally leaned over in her seat, flicking Yui's forehead. "Ouch! Why'd you do that?" Yui asked, rubbing the spot where Ally's finger had landed. "Don't scare us like that again. I really thought..." tears welled up in Ally's eyes, she didn't have the strength to finish her thought.
"PT and OT are going to swing by," Ally took something out of the saddlebag on her wheelchair, Yui's eyes widened. A pair of big girl panties! "They're going to work on this too, so you can finally earn these back." Was there a way to fix Yui's bladder issue? Probably not, but it was worth a shot. If anything, Ally was going to have to collaborate with a few people to come up with more stylish diaper options for her little baby star. On the other side of the room, it seemed that Luna had begun to stir. "Tell her I say good morning," as her angel had not awoken before PT arrived to bring her to the gym. Yui rode in the wheelchair, humming to herself as she rode. "That's a cute song, I feel like I've heard it somewhere before," the child looked up, it was the same tune she had sung inside of Resplendia's paradise.
"Were you there?" Yui asked softly. "There? Hmm, I had a dream once where I was trapped in the sky," the transfer nurse said as though she weren't paying all that much attention. "I was crying, is what I remember. I kept having to sing a song, but my lungs burned and I just wanted to go home." It was just as Yui thought, Resplendia's paradise had been torture for a normal human. Sure, the star had built it with good intentions, but humans were not meant to work as a hive mind. They each had complex individual personalities that did not like to be overtaken or overburdened. They were very delicate and complex creatures, or at least, that's what Yui knew from her experience with them.
PT and OT was fun, it was mostly games to improve motor function and then, embarrassing toilet training. When it was over, the nurse wheeled Yui back to her room and helped her into bed, the child thoroughly tired. It was the most activity she had done in a while, having been confined to her room in the ICU when they were trying to figure out the seizures. Ally was trying to coax Luna to eat and Ren too, had come with his lunch tray, looking like he didn't want to eat but shoving food down his gullet anyhow. Ally lifted up the cover on Yui's tray, revealing her lunch of miso soup and an omurice. "I love soup," Yui decided, picking up her spoon to dig in. She remembered to clap her hands together, recalling the lesson that Xavier had taught her about respecting where the food had come from.
"Food is important Lulu, it gives you energy!"
