Only with Yui's encouragement was Luna willing to give food a try. Needless to say it made her feel sick and awful but she had no choice but to eat. "If you eat every last bite, Mizuki will drive over and she'll help run the Paradise experiments." Luna was the entry, and Ren was the exit. They would both have to be at their best if they wanted to properly run the experiments on the strange land known as the subconscious of all humans on Earth. "Okay, fine! Yui, do you wanna watch?" The pinkette asked as she nibbled sourly on the fish. Normally she loved it but it just felt like eating slimy rubber right now. The doctors said she needed to eat so her stomach wouldn't forget how to but personally Luna was perfectly fine being fed intravenously.
After some struggle, the food was finished. Luna found herself in a large room set up just for these experiments. It had a special containment field built to make sure no dangerous energy escaped like had happened last time. Ren was there too, and both Angels were hooked up electronically to many monitors that would be examining their vitals. Leo was of course overseeing the experiment, while Mizuki was there to enter and exit the Gateways, with a team of two scientists, neither of whom were Light Bearers. It was odd - most people believed Paradise to simply be a dream that they had, while others acutely knew what had been going on. What was the difference between the two peoples? Leo had some theories but for now he wanted to run the test before finishing developing the thesis. Mizu looked a bit funny in her labcoat and her being shorter than the scientists didn't help. It was funny seeing her big sister looking so fancy.
"Okay, start the Gateway. Luna, open yours up so they can go into Paradise." Leo instructed and so Luna did so. She focused her mind on the pink fields, the glass kaleidoscope sky, the lonely cavern hidden by the pink dust and most of all, the haunting lullaby that spoke of a time before Light Seeds were on this planet. She felt her body twist and the Gateway opened, sucking light from her in order to maintain it. Pain shot through her mind but she held strong. "Just don't get caught by Tarik, though I think Resplendia's keeping him under wraps." Minako gave a wink and a nod and the trio entered's souls were sucked in.
After an hour, Leo instructed Ren to open his Exit Gateway. He did so by copying what Luna had done and from his body the glowing portal formed. It looked painful for him too as the souls of Minako and the two scientists were set free and put back into their bodies. Ren shut the Gateway then and Leo set up hospital beds for the three divers to recuperate on. "They're tired for now, they'll probably wake up by tomorrow." Leo's eyes were glowing at all the data he had uncovered. Luna however fell to her knees, buckling as horrible cramps erupted in her middle. Ren too, was wincing as he was in pain. "I don't think we can safely Gateway." Luna whimpered. "Not without borrowing light to do it first." It had taken far too much of their light to open and shut.
