Priscilla frowned when Garnet said that she would smile with pride when James and Priscilla slept together. What an odd and somewhat rude thing to say. "I assure you that won't be the case," she said with a shake of her head. "And I assure you that I wouldn't hurt Ebony," she added, glancing over at the door when the men came hurrying in with Ebony. She raised an eyebrow at the banter between them, sipping her water when Garnet sat down and started to feed the baby. When James looked over at her and said it would be her soon, she blinked in surprise, looking over at him. "Soon? If that's the case then it's a good thing you're friends with the town's jeweler," she said with a smirk.

She doubted that he actually planned on proposing to her any time soon. A month seemed hardly long enough for such a thing, especially when his brother had only just found out about them being together. If he did, though, would she say yes? She glanced down at her signet ring and slid it off, moving it absent-mindedly from finger to finger while she considered the possibility. She was fairly certain that she would say yes if he asked. She was happy with him. She wanted to be with him. And she knew that he wanted to have sex with her... so getting married would mean they'd both be happy and both get what they wanted. They could have children, she could be Ebony's stepmother... it was a lovely thought, really, but she doubted James was ready to consider such things just yet.
