At last, after a long three or four hours of flight, Eskja had reached her base. It was a cave, a rather large one. A giant boulder blocked the entrance, but Eskja used her storm magic to roll it out of the way. She flew in, and let the boulder fall back into place with a crunch.
Eskja immediately set to work. She set Kaenid down on a bed of fur and hides, got some flint and tinder, and got a fire going. She quick went back out to kill a rabbit or two. Then, she flew back in, hung an iron pot she'd stolen from a traveler a long time ago over the fire, and started to make a stew. While it cooked, Eskja looked over Kaenid's wounds. She poked and prodded a bit, but didn't find anything other than the broken ribs and some scratches and cuts. She began cleaning out the wounds with a cloth.
