It didn't go unnoticed to Patton that Spencer had looked up to the flag, and somewhat got nervous. Or maybe not nervous, but Patton didn't care. Wasn't his business to press into other people's lives. His was complicated enough, he didn't want others to press into his. He had his guard for a reason, he was still heavily angered by his parents' actions. Listening intently to the other boy, he heard him mention a guy named Don Franks, it sounded familiar. His mother mentioned an old flame's son, and how he was just a charming young man. He shrugged before he would laugh a little bit. He noticed Spencer stopping abruptly, he wasn't foreign to it. It was what he used to do before he got comfortable in the theater process, he'd often start to talk and ramble. But it was nothing to him now. Wanting to ignore it, he'd instead his mouth speak the words he really wished. "You okay?," the question escaping his mouth. Patton quickly shut up, before pressing into further matters instead he'd change the subject.
"So, Spence....that's fine I call you that? I couldn't think of an easy nickname. What exactly is there fun to do around here? Any sort of club or something?" the question coming out quickly. Not wanting to press into the other question he asked. He barely knew the guy, what was the point in asking him about his feelings.
