|| Never Enough|| The Greatest Showman ||
With all of the studying they did, the testing didn't seem so hard. Yui sat down at her desk, answering quetion after question about what felt like everything under the sun. After five long days of tests, the weekend had at last come, putting their first midterm to a close. Many children were looking forward to the upcoming Thanksgiving, when parents would be allowed on campus to stay in the guest dorms and see their children's school. Ally was going to come, which Yui was excited about. Raven and Mizu had claimed that they couldn't make it, but Yui had a feeling they were going to show up anyhow. "I'm so glad the testing is over!" Yui stretched, putting her pencil down. "I'm so proud of you all!" Ms. Emily beamed, she too, was glad that the formal testing was at a close for now. They would have finals at the end of the school year, which were a bit more rigid, but for now, this was all just to make sure that they were keeping up with what was being taught and if their grade level was appropriate. More an evaluation for the teachers than anything, but the students were the ones being punished with the tests.
Yui rose from her seat and headed out to lunch with the others to celebrate. Eliana brought them what was called a challah, which they each devoured a piece of eagerly. "It's so good!" Yui said through a mouthful of food, swallowing hard. Ren came to join them, he was struggling to make friends in his class, finding that his height made him more a draw to the girls who thought of him as an adorable little boy rather than fearing him for being the King of Darkness. As a result, he often took meals with Yui and Luna's class. "Can you teach me how to make it too?" Eliana was in the baking club and often spent time putting her spin on classic desserts. Finn too, wanted to learn the secret to this beautiful bread called challah. "Can I try?" Ren reached across the table for a slice, dipping it into his chicken noodle soup. His eyes sparkled as he bit into the fluffy bread. "This is the best bread I've ever eaten!" He declared heartily.
Yui giggled, it seemed that they all loved the bread. "I'd love to, but I have a lot of meetings and a swim meet this weekend." Yui twirled a lock of hair around her finger, as much as she wanted to slack of, she was busy, busy, busy. She had Idol Club practice, Idol practice for the wedding, two meetings for the upcoming Thanksgiving Day events and parent welcome, as well as their first swim team contest.
