"Of course they are real." Lyra laughed at Atreyu's stupid question as she emerged from the forest, Freya came up almost immediately to Lyra, following in her foot steps. "Would you like a lift or are you walking while we fly?" She asked sarcastically.
Atreyu matched her sarcastic tone while he said "Nah I'll take the long way."
Lyra laughed as she picked up the little bucket that Freya had made and handed it to Atreyu. "Alright, the stars are starting to come out now so we can get moving. Can you put this in your bag? When Atreyu took the bucket Lyra turned around, putting her hands on her hip at Freya. The little girl shyly picked up her little bag and looked at Lyra with a smile, but then quickly looked down to the ground wondering what she forgot, it took her a few moments but eventually she realized her wand was propped against a tree."There ya go.." Lyra commented.
"Go get ahead start Freya." Lyra told her, she watched the little girl take off, running and then jumping up and soaring off into in between the trees to get to the sky. Lyra turned to Atreyu, "Come on, get your stuff, we don't have all day." Lyra said shocked that Atreyu wasn't ready to go yet. She impatiently tapped her foot as Atreyu put his rifle and his bag over his shoulder. She walked up to Atreyu slowly, at first she stood in front of him, their faces almost touched by how close she was."If something starts attacking us I'm going to drop you and pick you back up before you hit the ground, try to shoot whoever is attacking us if this does happen. If you see Freya struggling, let her relax by holding her for as long as you can. She's still learning, and her wings are way too small for her body size. I'm honestly worried about that." Lyra said honestly as she turned Atreyu around, she put her arms around his upper arms and hoovered in the air. "Whew! Your heavy. Alright jump on three. One. Two. Three."
With Atreyu's jump they were able to take off, Lyra laughed like she had never been in the sky."Oh this feels great. Better than ..." She said as she lifted Atreyu close to her chest, her arms wrapped around his chest, her lips brushing against his neck as they soared through the sky. She didn't go to high for the fear that Atreyu wouldn't be able to breathe."So what was the ultimatum that Horus gave you?"
Lyra sighed as Atreyu told her the ultimatum, "We are linked? I am already immortal, I wonder if this means that your immortal too, probably not. But if we find another planet where the oxygen levels are too low for you to breathe or there's no oxygen at all, I might be able to take the damage for you. I can handle no oxygen for as long as it takes Freya to recharge to open another portal. This could be a good thing, and it could be a really bad thing. If i get tortured again you may not be able to take the amount of pain I can. The humans cut off my tail and i held in my scream so Freya wouldn't hear." She whispered into Atreyu's neck. She brushed her lips against his neck all the way up to his ear, she looked straight ahead at the city coming up in front of her."Should we just stop there and find an inn or should we search for the portal and take our chances with the next planet?" She asked Atreyu.
