"I will do everything I can to bare my portion of this curse. Lord Horus did mention that once we become more intune with each other, it will get easier." Atreyu whispered into her forehead.
"That also means that little signs of affection will have a huge impact... Oh goody." Lyra said not too enthusiastic about it.
"We should stop for the night at the in nearest inn. Can you drop me off before we get there, I'm going to check the perimeter and see if anything is following. Don't exactly know what I'm looking for, but i know a tail when I see one."
"Yes, I'll meet you at the Inn. I'm going to go get us an actual cooked meal." Lyra told Atreyu as she dropped him off half a mile away from the city. She decided to walk from there, retracing her wings as she did so, it wasn't as painful as letting them come back out.
Lyra and Freya made their way through the crowded streets filled with species of all kinds, she was surprised to even see other humans here as well. Which meant that there was no longer a law against humans leaving earth, or if there was then they were probably tied with another species like Atreyu and Lyra.
Lyra paid for their room, upon entering her eyes lit up. The room was so beautiful with art all over the room, upbeat music played, it almost sounded like human music, the few songs that Lyra did hear while she was there. Freya ran to the pink door, she opened it to find a child's room. Lyra poked her head in, finding Freya playing with dolls."I'm going to go look for food, stay here and wait for Atreyu."
Lyra happily walked up the street, following her nose. She came across a place that made her stomach growl from just the smells. She decided to buy quite a lot of food, even some dried food that could be kept for later when the three were traveling. As Lyra packed up all the food she had bought into bags she carried it all back. She got a lot of strange looks, what could a skinny girl like her do with all that food. In realty, it was mostly for Freya and Atreyu. Lyra didn't need food to survive and was fine with the fruits that Freya had picked out earlier.
