It would be as James was reading the invitation to what he assumed was a Vampire's party that there was a knock on their door. H set the letter down, and grunted as he stood. It had been a lazy day for him, still in his bed-clothes of a baggy t-shirt, sweat-pants, slippers, and a bathrobe over it all. His beard had come in nicely and his hair was shaggy. He brushed it away from his face with a hand before opening the door, Emerald Eyes taking in the sharply dressed Mr. Niac as he held the door only half-way open, half of his face revealed. He squinted slightly and grunted softly, his lip twitching.

"How can I help you?" He asked. His voice was Gravelly and strong. He wasn't standing at his full height either, and he was cautious of this man in a suit who dared come onto his land, his territory. However his weariness wasn't too obvious outside of his body language of partially hiding behind the door. "If you're trying to buy my land, the answer will be no. If you're trying to take it, you will not succeed. I have done everything legally. This land, the cattle on it, the dogs, the house, and the vehicles are all mine or..." he paused. What was Miray to him? His mate? Lover? Mere companion? She was all those things for him. "...Or my wife." he finished after a second, making it seem like he paused only to take in a short breath.

James' critical eyes could see that there was more beneath the surface of this man's eyes, and his enhanced Werewolf senses could tell that he wasn't from around here. If not Wing City, then perhaps not even Terra. For a moment James' eyes moved off to the distance, where he watched some of the dogs he and Miray had adopted playing in the yard near the fence leading to the pasture where the cattle grazed peacefully.
