"Almost perfect?" Kyo quirked a brow once more, wondering what her fatal flaw was in Pariya's eyes. What sort of half baked compliment was that? Not that Kyo would say anything of course, because she didn't think that Pariya knew that her statement was a bit... odd. Kyo closed her eyes, feeling tired from all of the medicine. She had to pee too, but somehow, she didn't think that the Doctor was going to allow her to get up and use the toilet. More than likely they would have a nurse assist her somehow. Romo seemed to think that only good people didn't mind Kyo, which seemed odd to the cat girl because wasn't Pariya a former survivalist? Certainly there were bad people that would humor her as well?
Kyo blushed when Pariya mentioned her lack of smiling. Not everyone could be dubiously cheerful all the time. Kyo had to be realistic. "I told you I would try," she mumbled, looking away awkwardly. Jake laughed, petting her head gently around the bandages. She closed her eyes, savoring the feeling. "It seems that Pariya is a real matchmaker, she knows what the men want and they want smiles." Jake winked as Kyo's cheeks turned even redder. Then she went on to speak of Romo, who had an affinity for animals with green fur. Now Kyo's cheeks were as vibrant as a fire truck. "Okay, okay, enough with the teasing. We're not supposed to rile her up, remember?" Jake chided gently, they couldn't raise Kyo's blood pressure too much until tomorrow, then Pariya could tease all she wanted. Romo too, seemed embarrassed by the outlandish statement.
Eleven glanced from one human to the next, their statements were so casual, they so easily spoke of one another without any formalities or restrictions. Eleven made a mental note of this, hoping that one day she too, would be able to speak with Thirteen in the same casual inflection. Their friend, Pariya, suffered from seizures, a terrible infliction. "I'm sorry, I don't know much about them, but I will do my best to assist." Eleven said, balling her hands into fists. It should be an easy enough thing to learn, shouldn't it? Jake smiled, seeming glad that Eleven was determined. "Elinor, was it?" Eleven nodded, having quickly forgotten the human name she had given herself. "However, most of my friends refer to me as L." It would be too obvious that she was outlandish if they heard that her true name was a set of numbers.
Pariya proclaimed that if she met the alien queen, then maybe she could fix the seizures. "No," Kyo said quickly, "she'd make them worse." Eleven held her tongue, curious on what the humans thought of her Mother. "She's a piece of work," Jake said, crossing his arms. It was clear that there was still underlying trauma from their capture. "Once she found out we had mutations, she rounded all of the humans in the camp up. She did these-"
"Jake, stop." Kyo said suddenly. His gaze softened, she was shaking, her breathing having quickened. Eleven glanced between the two, the trauma had brought them close together, no doubt the same way that being in the survivalist camp together had connected Romo and Pariya.
