"You know what they call people when they kick others who are down?" Jake asked, emerging from behind a tree. "The damned," he knelt beside Pariya, looking at the wound Lacey had given her. "That doesn't look too good. Can you walk? Or should I carry you?" Jake didn't wait for an answer, he scooped up Pariya easily, the pink haired female so small and light. "Pick on someone your own size," Jake said, walking past Lacey and to the medical tents. "How's your head feeling?" Jake asked softly. He was on an early morning jog when he heard the commotion. The sun wasn't yet up in the sky, he was just at the start of his run, using the opportunity to think considering he had been unable to lay in bed any longer. Luckily, first aid was the first thing one learned in nursing school, so Jake could easily address the wound.
"Looks like she just scraped you. There's gonna be a bruise though," he went through the box of sterile supplies and pulled out alcohol swabs and a band aid, being especially careful due to Pariya's sensitivity. He didn't know if she had any sensory processing disorders either, so Jake treated her with care. "There, all patched up," Jake grinned, "try to catch some sleep, alright? We've got a lot of walking ahead of us today," that is, if they would be allowed to leave. L and Kyo would both need medical clearance no doubt from the Red Tent's doctor and now with Pariya's injury, she might just join the club of sick girls in the white tent area. "I'm gonna head back to my tent, alright?" He inquired, patting her knee.
Hours later, Kyo awoke with a terrible urge to use the restroom. She had been made to use a bedpan before, but now, Kyo wasn't certain if she was allowed to sit up or not. "Hello?" The cat girl cleared her throat, hoping that there was a nurse or a guard stationed outside the tent that could assist her. Was she allowed to move? Could she be disconnected from the makeshift IV and go use the toilet? Kyo did her best not to squirm, although her tail had a mind of it's own and was wriggling back and forth unabashedly despite the fact that it was wrapped in bandages and taped between two boards. It was rather uncomfortable to lay in the same position all the time, especially when your behind became numb and your tail was tired of being laid on.
