filtThe world is cruel, but it's beautiful too.

"It hurts, but I'm okay." Pariya allowed Jake to carry her, still rubbing the painful spot on her forehead that got whacked by the crossbow. "Hmpf, next time get her to behave instead of screaming her head off out here." Lacey snarled, still standing guard just in case enemies came. "With her head like that she's gonna be a liability." Pariya looked at Jake, trying to focus her eyes and stop the dizzyness, her legs felt like jelly there was no way she was going to be able to walk at all. "Do you know what happened? There was a flash and then I was somewhere else but now I'm here again and I was screaming?" It didn't make sense to her, but not many things did. She was talking as Jake took care of the injury and she was glad to have nice people to help her out.
Pariya woke a second time, this time to Veronica nudging her. "Oh, hello princess, what are you up to today?" You might not know it from looking at her, but Pariya knew the truth deep in her heart even if Romo told her to stop dreaming up silly fantasies. The truth was that Veronica was doggie royalty, she was a dog princess, that was why she was so pretty and beautiful and why Romo always spent hours each day grooming her and checking her for ticks and fleas. "Hello princess you." Romo must have already woken up, the boy wasn't in the tent. A note was there, waiting for her, telling her to go and check to see if Kiyo was doing okay, if she was ready to go.
So the pinkette followed her orders, giving Veronica one last belly rub before leaving the tent, still rubbing sourly at her head bump, a parting gift from sentry guard Lacey. After punning her way past the nurse on duty busy with drinking something for her moonshine hangover, Riya came on time to hear the butt end of someone saying Hello. She focused her eyes to try to see in the foggy morning light but there she was in high definition detail, Kiyoko. "Hello!" She waved, coming to give her kitty friend a morning greeting. "Jake did this to me!" She pointed to the bandages with a cheerful smile, somehow not sad at all at being bullied by Lacey. "How are you? Can I help you with anything? A poem? Some food?" Her eyes focued a little, and Riya put a finger on her cheek. "Do you know a weird blonde blue eyes girl in my head that, no sorry, that probably doesn't make sense." She decided not to worry about it for now.
