Something in Pariya's head told her to dig? It was... odd to say the least. They looked at her, wondering why she had decided to take such drastic action and to go so far as to hurt herself to do so. "Maybe it was the bird? It used the power of suggestion?" Kyo mused, sliding down against the wall in an attempt to relax a bit before they began their hunt for the missing puzzle pieces. Maybe there was something else? A bigger picture that only Pariya could see because of her ways of alternative thinking? Kiyoko bit down on her lip in thought, there were so many things about their traveling companions that were still a mystery. It wasn't a bad thing though, it just meant that they had more to learn about one another before they reached their final destination, what would hopefully be a human colony.
Unless, of course, this was all a ploy set up by the aliens in order to capture dozens more humans. If this truly was a trap, however, then wouldn't the aliens by laying in wait for them? "We shouldn't explore alone," Kyo suggested, rising to her feet. "We should all stick together," it would make searching the rooms go by a lot faster as well, considering there would be more people to turn over every stone. L didn't seem adverse to Veronica's growling. "Animals never liked me," she admitted with a mournful smile. "As much as I like them," she scratched at one of her horns, a blush appearing on her cheeks.
In a group they explored the other floors of the lighthouse, delving into every piece of furniture, every nook and cranny in order to collect all of the puzzle pieces. Once they were back on the first floor, they glanced down at their findings, a literal puzzle. "Whoever made this has way too much time on their hands," Kiyoko noted, causing Jake to laugh. Her tail swished, no longer in bandages, "La and da?" Kyo mused aloud. She had never been the smartest egg in the nest, but Kyo had figured out the first puzzle and she was determined to get through the rest. "Alright, let's start putting these pieces together and figure it out." Kyo drummed a finger against her chin while L leaned down to try and put the pieces together in a literal sense while Jake looked on, laughing once more.
