Rhyanid stood in the doorway and listened to Isla while she talked about how her day had gone, chuckling and nodding understandingly whenever it was warranted. When she finished and said that his arrival had caused her evening to take a turn for the best, he couldn't help but to grin. "Well, it sounds like you two had a good time together after work," he said with a grin. "I just... worked. That's all there was. Zel showed up, and get this - Osmond put a damn ring on her," he laughed. "Illyana commented on how pretty the ring was and Zel said it was from Os. And then mom asked why Os gave her a ring, and Zel just looks her dead in the eyes and flat-out goes 'Because we're engaged now' and my mom's face..." He stopped talking, laughing a bit as he recalled his mother's reaction to the news that Zelipia and Osmond were, apparently, engaged.
Yoranda giggled when he commented on the older her working for the older him. "I still don't think Amell looks anything like you. Like, at all. The only similarity is that you're both super big," she said with a giggle, going outside with him and waiting while he locked the door. He didn't get a chance to say whatever he was about to say next, though, before something hit him and he fell into the wall. Her eyes widened as she saw the men and she cried out in surprise when one went for her, scurrying to get the door unlocked so she could get inside safely. She wasn't concerned about Birger. He was a damn soldier. He could more than handle himself, especially after slamming the first one into the wall like that. He'd be fine, but she was tiny and pregnant and definitely couldn't hold her own, so she got inside quickly. She wasn't sure whether or not to lock the door - Birger might need to get in, but those men might try to get in, too. She decided to leave it unlocked in case Birger tried to get in and couldn't, and she ran to hide behind the bar so that even if the guys came in, they'd have to look for her, first - and she'd have plenty of stuff behind the bar that she could grab in case she needed to fight them off or anything, though she doubted it would come to that.
Bastian blinked at her words, nodding. "Well, yes, of course I could have it steamed," he said. He headed out with her, enjoying the way she cuddled up to his arm. He was about to question her comment about making her feel like a woman, but then she elaborated, and he smiled a bit. "Well, that is because I see you as a woman. Being tough does not make you a man in any way. It only makes you tough. You are a tough, beautiful, charming woman, and I see no reason to treat you as anything less than that," he said.
