It seemed as if nothing was going right the past few days. First there was Vale. Tessa had been spending almost all her time by Vale's side and doing her best not to get in Sunni's way. She'd hardly even be up on deck, leaving the duties of the rigging to Rosia or Bill or whoever else would be able to help out with it. But now with the storm raging, Tessa had to go up and do her job. Before she went up, she looked over Vale once last time. โWell I'll be, don't ya look like shit,โ Tessa said in a soft voice and a small smile on her face. She then took her hand and moved a stray strand of hair away from Vale's face. Tessa's small smile left with a sigh. โI'll be back once the storm calms,โ she said this a little louder so Sunni could hear it as well. Then she pulled her hand away, looked over Vale one last time, then made her way up.
Looking over the ship in its chaos, she could just see Meg take over the helm through the mist and water. And she could see the sails being blown about. โFuck,โ Tessa muttered under her breath. She made her way past crew to the main sail. Making her way up quickly, she beat herself up a bit forgetting about lifelines in the chaos as she could just hear Meg ordering Bill to make sure everyone had one. Grabbed a rope that was tied to the mast and tied it around herself quickly and tightly then braced herself as the ship rocked and a wave rushed over the deck from below. She could see some of the newer crew having trouble staying on their feet. And though she wanted to warn some of them she had a job she had to focus on first. Now more than ever did she feel she had to be 100-and-ten-percent. The sails where getting tied up quickly.
A bit later she was caught a bit off guard however hearing Jules call her, she looked over to Meg at the helm seeing Julian step up. โOy! Cap'n! Jules!โ She called to them from up on the sails. She was more or less just letting them know where she was and that she was on it. But now wasn't the time to go about talking.
As the ship rocked again, she went about hurriedly pulling up the last sail and tying them tight. The last thing they needed was for any of the sails to be torn. Once all the sails were tied she made her way back down to the deck, tying herself to a long life line as she looked over the ship quickly. She began making her way about making sure everyone's lines were tight. When she heard Rosia over the storm, she made her way over as water came over the deck yet again. โOy, why not get tied first?!โ Tessa said loudly enough to be heard and tied a rope around Rosia, making sure it was secure and tight. "Sorry if that be a bit too tight or uncomfortable, but we can't have ya fallin' overboard, now can we?" Then Tessa was back to making sure the rigging was tight and making sure everyone was securely tied to the ship as well as making sure anything loose was tied down.
