Sophie blinked at Gene when she came out and said those men were not her dad. "Well no, they weren't anything compared to your dad..." She said and then listened and nodded a little bit. "I...know that I was difficult and stressful to deal with. And I did kind of hope that he could somehow change me since nothing else worked and that wasn't something I should have put on him like that..." She said softly. "I went and made sure that I was doing absolutely everything I could to fix myself. Finally got an appointment with someone who had resources I could use to get better. I'd been trying to see them about the way I was for months. Things seem to be working. I'm not nervous around anybody any more. I'm not afraid of literally everything anymore either." She said. "It's a nice feeling not to be afraid of people." She sighed. She raised an eyebrow at her when she said she wasn't going g to stop showing up. "And what if we do go on a date, then what...?" She asked glancing at Daryl. He hadn't said anything about what Gene had said so she was wondering what he was thinking.
