Once outside, she decided to stroll around Black & White for a bit longer, to see if what she thinks will happen. After less than five minutes, place got closed, and she couldnât help but smile, for itâs always interesting to see whether assumption is correct or not.
A pity no idiot came around, it would be such a nice bloodshed, needed one in this case.â She muttered, andâŠ
Finally she walked away, humming like she always does, when satisfied.

There were many to choose from, many that could be killed and used for a simple thing, yet she hoped to find an acquaintance, that the other her once met. To leave a hint, to leave a right trail, and most of all⊠to catch attention of the right person, and police if time allows.
Sadly as she walked through the town, luck was no longer on her side, and so she sighed, slowly turning towards home, where⊠no one waited. Door easily opened, strange man nowhere to be seen, a pity, for she wanted to talk with him. Clothes bought not so long ago, put off inside daughterâs room.
Rita stood naked in front of a mirror, custom made for size of another, annoying fact - to see whole self she had to at least lean forward. A woman with a slim body, small and proportional waist, long elegant legs that made her bit too tall for some. Her chest an asset andâŠ
âNot buying a bra was a mistake, then again finding correct one is a nuisanceâŠâ She sighed, luckily her femininity did not interrupt greatly in friendly chat with man from the Bar. Sadly it could affect next onesâŠ
Rita stared at the reflection bit longer, still considering strengths and weaknesses of looks. Then she took a step back, turning focus to other things, she went to kitchen. Slowly taking out ingredients, all while she thought, and even saidâŠ
âNeed to make a dinner for that dummyâŠâ Though most likely dinner will be cold, once he is back, such a work, such a life, sadly.
Time passed, and dinner was done, note meant for dad left. Finally Rita could take a shower, finally she could stop counting time, and rest a little, enjoy the pleasant feeling of water running down the skin. Ten, twenty, maybe an hour spent inside, sadly it had to endâŠ
She got out, reached for towel, spent five minutes making sure not even a smallest drop of water wouldâve fallen once she left the bathroom. Then back to daughterâs room, room with far too many toys, and plushies.
Rita stared at one pillow, that lied on bed, pacman pillow, that she immediately grabbed a hold of.
âYou like that one too much, annoying weaknessâŠâ She muttered, still⊠she knew that destroying this little thing would cause chaos. So⊠she put it back, to where it belongs, and sighed.
Red queen, the actual problem â one that limits my fun, and one that tries to control everything, with rather happy host, Dani. Problematic. Worst part⊠someone will die at some point, most likely person that I want to see die the least.
She thought, and thought, considered possible situations, outcomes - everything happening in her head, andâŠ
A notable sound could be heard , a key moving lock inside the door, door to home, someoneâs coming, someone who shouldnât be here, yet.
âHey, kid, Iâm home earlyâŠâ Father started, but Rita had no time to listen to what he had to say, words meant for his daughter, that happened to be⊠elsewhere, in a way.
Quickly she hid newly bought clothes, grabbed clothes fitting for Kali, and reached for window, she listened in for steps, that grew closer, all while she tried to escape.
âKali?â Fatherâs voice echoed through the house. Rita knew that at that point, within next few seconds, heâll grow suspicious, heâll notice small signs of someone being here not long ago.
One thought came through her mind, while she wrestled with old window - get out.
Clock ticking, steps getting closer, window not wanting to budge⊠until the last second, it worked, out in the open, outside, naked in cold, window pulled down, so at least one could mistake it for closed.
Racing thoughts, plans possibly demolished, chaos due to one unexpected event, and most of allâŠ
âFreaking cold.â She purred, trembling lightly, and went back to entrance, somehow⊠by pure luck she saw no one, and maybe no one saw her, now a matter of clothes, and a change, soon sheâd learn how much had changed, how much plan is ruined.

On the other handâŠ
Father had entered daughter room, Kali was⊠not here. Worried he went back to kitchen, to note, that was clearly written by someone else, for heâd recognize writing of his daughter, and note was ⊠written in someone elseâs style.
He heard about a woman, that visited Kevin, he heard about how she knew Kali, and now there is a different writing in their home, writingâŠ
His thoughts were interrupted by door being opened once more, he stayed in the kitchen, still, waiting.
âI can see the lights, whoâs inside?â He heard familiar voice.
âKaliâ Within seconds he emerged from the kitchen, smiling, hiding his worries as best as he could.
âWhatâs wrong?â She immediately asked.
âAh, as expected, well, Iâd like to eat dinner youâve made for me, we can talk while I eat, alright?â His voice full of emotions, kind emotions, for he tried as best as he could to sound fine, while there was this hidden scream deep beneath the seeâŠ
Kali nod, and followed him, they sat, she wrote, he ate, slowly⊠complementing on how good her cooking was, which wasâŠ
âA lie, we both know it.â
âSure, it was bad once, but this oneâs quite good, I mean it.â
He watched her smile lightly, but then that smile was lost, in place of it⊠worried look.
âUmm, so why are you early, what happened?â
âI didnât get laid off, butâŠâ
âYou were laid off.â
âI, fine, in a way, got a temporary break as it was called.â
âWhy?â
âSimple, I asked too many questions.â
He continued to eat slowly, wanting to enjoy this meal as long as possible, and to gather thoughts.
âSomehow, we got bribed, well, not all of us, but enough to our ability to deal with the particular group of the masked people.â
âThatâs⊠wait, I thought policemen can never be bribed.â
âThatâs the ideology kiddo, not reality, sadly.â
âSays the optimistic guy.â
âHey, donât bite, I didnât try to bite you with the nickname you hate so much.â
âAlrightâŠâ
Meal eaten, both lacking topics, but one had to be mentionedâŠ
âUmm, dad, just so you know, Iâll be going out early, tomorrow, I found that book, and I hope to get it as quickly as possible.â
âWhat book?
âCivilization, and itâs discontents, the one Freud wrote.â
âAlright, just be careful, these days⊠things get more hectic than ever.â
âSure thingâŠâ Kali got up, and immediately rushed to bathroom.
âFirst!â
Her dad chuckled, and decided to sit for a while longer - his thoughts once more focused on the subject, that bothered him.
