He kept his eyes fixated on the pond before him, his tongue stretching out farther than normally required so that his head could remain up. Well, what was disappointing about getting another Pokémon to shove off? Perhaps that water mouse had learned a manner or two.

Flare's ears flicked as Luna addressed him, and he turn towards her as he walked out of the mud. Shaking his paws haphazardly, he agreed with her rather forcefully. All that energy which had been building up for the confrontation had to dissipate somehow. "SURE kid! There's gotta be better company in this human village place than out here," he responded, his jibe directed at a Pokémon that was clearly somewhere underwater and beyond earshot.

Still tracking mud despite his brief shakedown, Flare made a move to lead on in the direction they had been heading. The sun beat warmly upon his orange and black back, and his creamy tail swished contentedly now that he was no longer thirsty. His mind wandered to what their eventual destination would hold. Besides the obvious trinkets and potential fire stone, Flare couldn't help but wonder if there were other Luna's to be found. What if the humans up and left the whole region? There would be helpless Pokémon stuck in human houses all over the place. Poor souls. Well, Flare couldn't feel too guilty about it, he had already done his part with this homely Vulpix.

"Say kid, you think there are other's like ya in this village place up ahead? You know, left trapped by the humans?" Flare asked, always curious about her opinions.
