However, his whispering by the violet-haired girl's ear was interrupted by a sudden firm grip on his shoulder from none other than Rhys who wished to stop the tactless senior from continuing further for fear that he would soon be a laughing stock. Rhys wanted to avoid all manner of touching the cyan-haired boy had he been given a moment to second-guess himself but it was a natural instinct in order to spare his pride. "That's enough." The taller but younger male's strength combined with serious, lower tone of voice sent a clear message even to the dense Sora who ceased speaking immediately and looked over his shoulder to give a knowing nod at Rhys. The senior frail boy saw the situation a lot like wearing red and standing in the way of a raging bull, with an intimidating aura. Despite his social behavior as quite unorthodox, there were few who could reason with him and the brown-haired junior had become one of them. Rhys removed his hand and released a sigh of both relief and annoyance. Sora was older than him but in many ways, not nearly as mature.
Sora proceeded to sit between Misaki and Yuuki while Rhys seated himself on the other side with an unfamiliar face (Haruhi) and Shiori. As Rhys intended to take study club seriously, he knew he'd be seeing the members on a weekly basis and it was worth getting along. "Hello. I'm Browning, Rhys. Yourself?" He introduced himself and asked the senior girl (Haruhi). Her nationality was a mystery as there were obvious foreign features like her sandy blonde hair but traces of an asian ethnicity as well. Her accent would be more on an indicator to him whether she was a local or a foreign student. Awaiting her response, he gave her a discreet onceover while taking his seat, observing that his new acquaintance was quite beautiful before returning his attention to the club activities. Sora also took note of the same blonde hair student as the girl who advised him about how to treat girls not long ago but didn’t say or do anymore than a head tilt and blatant stare before Shiori spoke up to the group.
"If everyone can eat without making a mess, I've brought some cake to share. Everyone remember to properly thank Browning-san. I hope you don't mind I've brought a tag along, Fujioka-san... I will take full responsibility for her."
Rhys rubbed the back of his head a little shyly as his name was mentioned aloud although his expression remained stoic, keeping his embarrassment in check. Sora was feeling peckish after a long day and neatly retrieved and set his eating utensils as well as divided a fair slice onto his plate. "Arigatou Browning-san, Kitogawa-san. It looks delightful." He bowed his head politely in gratitude then ate a spoonful. His eyes lit up briefly at the splendid taste before trailing off in Misaki’s direction who was next to him. Sora leaned over closing the gap between them until there was nothing left, spoon dangling in his mouth childishly as he looked over his fellow senior’s (Misaki) notes. "Chu made spellin’ mistack." His words were almost incoherent mumbling as he pointed at a word on her paper. Rhys wasn’t minding anyone else as he focused on his own assignment. His partner (Mao) wasn’t present and there was a chance they would meet up to continue working on it together sometime but he would feel much better adding onto it now and running it by her for approval later. The others’ appeared to be working on similar assignment tasks too so there was an opportunity to brainstorm and bounce ideas off each other.
Sora and Rhys simultaneously looked at Shiori as she dropped her pencil. It was a minor clumsy act but in the peaceful library, the pencil drop was loud enough to attract their attention. Her face was an undeniable dark shade of red adding to the curiosity and concern of both boys with different reactions to address it. "Kitogawa-senpai, do you need a breather?" Rhys thought it would be idiotic to ask the general question ‘Are you okay?’ as her face was clearly flushed. He was making the move to stand from his chair to escort her out of the library if required. She had a tendency to get embarrassed quite easily and the blush didn’t look like it would die down quickly. She could also be a sourpuss and overreact when presented with an embarrassing situation but he had no clue why she was red in the face in the first place. Sora removed the spoon from between his lips and gestured at the dark-haired senior president with it. "Could it be you are stressed Kitogawa-san? Studies can be quite stressful and still, you offered to assist with Kim-san's half. Be sure you are not pushing yourself." Sora closed his eyes in thought and lowered the spoon to place on the plate. He was not that close to the other class president for seniors but as they had similarities about difficulties fitting in, presidencies and he was in debt to her for diffusing his situation with Ryou and Devone, he did care about her well being genuinely. He recalled his attempt to alleviate Yuuki's stress before during the evacuation and the idea popped up in his head that didn't take long to form into intractable words. "Browning-san, instead of a breather she needs a kiss." He selected Rhys as her junior, close proximity to her and as the first one to speak up about Shiori's personal dilemma. "Fujioka-san can attest that it is effective." Sora shared all his thinking with no consideration for the outcome.
