The Three Fangs of Teranos. Legendary beasts that even those in hell knew of, that baby demons were told horror stories of so that they would know to be afraid. For a very long time since perhaps the beginning of time the Fangs of Teranos terrorized the middle plane between Hell and the living world. No one knew much of them, but everyone knew about their destruction and their cruelty. And now Rainarch, the third Fang, had claimed Yue as its prey. "Pl-please don't eat me." Yue whimpered, freezing and shutting her eyes. She knew there was no point in struggling, she was never going to win against something powerful like this. The crescent shadow lifted her up into the dark sky, wings beating. "Let'sss go have some fun." The hissing voice in the middle of her head implored. making her chest throb with each beat.
It was cold, Yue felt so cold wrapped in this creature's hold. She shivered, teeth clattering against her will, eyes shut to try to block out the terror that was impending death. Eventually the awful feeling of flight ended and she opened her eyes to find herself in a new place - still within this dark place between the planes but different all the same. Atop a strange perch, a pillar made of some black material that was something between ebony and steel. "Rainarch." A rumbling voice from the dragon-like Fang growled as it continued to circle overhead. "Don't play with your food this time." The black hound made of shadows was already chasing it's tail as it ran in the sky. "I want food too!" The hound declared in it's odd yipping voice. Yue felt the crescent - who now that Yue had a better look, appeared to be more of a bat than an actual crescent. "Oh, am I pretty? I think you're cuter though, fresh scared humans are so adorable."
Pretty? When was she ever pretty? No one has ever called her that before. Maybe these monsters had a different standard for beauty? "The dragon is Gryarch. He's a bit of an old scrooge. Zurorarch is the name of the dog, but sometimes I feel like it doesn't have a brain cell." Did monsters even have braincells? Didn't they work some other way? The dragon flew off, the dog got distracted by something and went away and now it was just the two of them up atop this black tower. "D-don't eat me." Maybe this - this Rainarch would show mercy. The moment Yue thought that maybe Rainarch wouldn't do anything to her, the bat clung to her harder. A sharp pain, fangs sinking into her chest, a glow rising from her chest and floating into the monster.
Pain, intense pain, Yue wasn't sure what to do, she could hardly breathe - if breathing was even possible in this plane. Weakness came about her again and she panted, trying to vainly fight off the monster clearly feeding off of her energy or something else. "That was fun." Rainarch giggled gleefully. "I'll eat you slowly. Maybe a year, or two years, but you will be here and you will be my pet." The bat was flapping it's wings with joy and Yue felt dizzier than ever before, unable to even move. And that was when she saw it a strange dark chain going from her heart to the bat's head. "Oh, that. We're chained together now. I'll always be able to find you, so you can never run away from me."
Suddenly Rainarch stiffened. "A General of Hell." General of Hell? Wasn't that something even scarier than the Fangs of Teranos? Yue didn't know, she just didn't want to be here anymore. "Hey, Blithe! Did you have fun being a slave to a human?" The bat seemed to cackle a little - did they know each other? "I'm going to keep this human because she's cute. I'm sure you mages in your hidey hole up there won't mind." Demons were stronger the deeper they went, so they were weakest on the surface and strongest in hell. Whatever heroic Blithe was able to do on the Mageplane, she'd be able to pull of at least twice as much more here.
